DBS saw its shares surge by over 50% in the year’s final three months and recorded a profit of S$10.3 billion in the previous year, roughly 25% higher than earnings in 2022. The company has decided to grant extra shares to long-term investors and raised its dividend to S$0.54 per share for the last quarter of the year. Furthermore, DBS is confident about the prospects of its shares in the following year and expects to achieve equity of 15 to 17% in 2024, maintaining a solid capital base with a CET-1 ratio of 14.6%.
