The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) in Bangalore seeks individuals under the sports quota for Tax Assistant, Stenographer Grade-II (Steno), and Havaldar. Eligibility Criteria

The CBIC is hiring for the following positions:

  • Tax Assistant: This role requires candidates to possess a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification. It also demands good typing skills, which might involve significant data entry and document preparation.
  • Stenographer Grade-II (Steno): This role is for candidates who have passed the 12th class or possess any other equivalent education. The key requirement for this role is stenography skills.   • Havaldar: This role is for candidates who have completed Matriculation or an equivalent field. The job might involve various administrative or clerical duties.

Candidates must meet the ‘Sports Quota’ for all the above positions. The age limit for all roles is 18-27.

Selection Process

The selection process for the candidates involves multiple stages, including a physical standard test specifically for the Havaldar post. Here’s a breakdown of the process:

  • Sports Trail: This initial stage assesses the sports skills and accomplishments of the candidates.
  • Physical Standard Test (Havaldar Post): This stage is exclusive to the Havaldar post, and it evaluates the candidates’ physical fitness.
  • Document Verification: At this stage, the authenticity of the documents submitted by the candidates is checked.

Medical Examination: This is the concluding stage, where the medical health of the candidates is examined.

Candidates who successfully pass all stages will be awarded the specified positions.
